Charlotte Caspers (Ghent, 1979) studied Art History at Radboud University (Nijmegen) and followed postgraduate training as a painting restorer at Stichting Restauratie Atelier Limburg (SRAL) (Maastricht). She specialized in historical painting materials and techniques and worked for major museums in the Netherlands and abroad. In addition, she collaborated with various universities and was a guest lecturer in historical painting techniques for ten years at the Conservation and Restoration course at the University of Amsterdam. All this affects her autonomous work that focuses mainly on nature and how we as humans relate to it.
