Opening gallery season 22/23

After the Corona years of cultural poverty, of temporary closures of museums, theaters and galleries, of cancellations and visitor restrictions, of do's and don'ts, it is a beneficial experience to be able to make artistic plans again in the hope and expectation that they can be carried out.

In this forced interlude, we seized the opportunity to move out of the gallery's old space and to start using the new, beautiful spaces only three hundred meters further on Keizersgracht in a wonderful building and make them suitable for exhibitions.

Three events are planned for this fall. Two in Amsterdam and one in London;

1. The opening of the Amsterdam gallery season will start on 2 September with a group exhibition of new acquisitions, including masterpieces by Jan Schoonhoven, Carel Visser, Ad Dekkers and Jan Henderikse.
Simultaneously in the gallery a preview of the special solo presentation 'Constant, Radical Changes' that will be on show at Frieze Masters from 12 to 16 October.

2. FRIEZE MASTERS in London from 12 to 16 October. In collaboration with our London colleague The Mayor Gallery, we will present a solo presentation of the internationally renowned and influential artist CONSTANT.

3. PAN Amsterdam in the Rai promises to be an exceptionally well attended fair this year from 19 to 27 November. Borzo and The Mayor Gallery share a large booth with a presentation centered on three artists: Billy Apple, Mark Brusse and Jan Henderikse. The international careers of all three started in the artistically progressive sixties of the twentieth century: Zero, Nul, Nouveau Réalisme, Pop Art. Also in common are their years of stay, in the early 1960s, in the illustrious New York Chelsea Hotel.
