Ronald de Bloeme has created a large-scale outdoor artwork for the Art Rotterdam Week. On Friday February 3rd this work was revealled to public at the Station's Square of the Central Station in Rotterdam. This work is a reflection upon the upcoming Dutch Parliamentary elections. It is a large scale election billboard, spanning 2,40 x 7 meters.

De Bloeme uses ‘Found Footage’; outings such as packaging, advertisements and commercial language. The commercial products are so well known to us, he is in search of our point of recognizability. He does this, for example, by replacing the text (of the packaging) with black bars (censorship), deleting figuration from a particular packaging or showing the image in a negative form (inverting it as the opposite of positive).
