TEFAF Maastricht 2020

BorzoGallery is pleased to participate in TEFAF Maastricht in 2020. Just as in previous years, a striking stand is designed by the Amsterdam firm HOH Architecten. The larger of the two spaces in the design offers the opportunity to show a wide selection of work by two artists.

This year special attention will be given to two important Dutch artists from the post-war years: Jan Schoonhoven (1914-1994) and Jaap Wagemaker (1906-1972). Both artists were represented by the legendary Rotterdam gallerist Hans Sonnenberg. In 1959 Sonnenberg brought the Italian artist Manzoni to the Netherlands and showed his work in the Rotterdam Art Foundation in combination with, among others, Schoonhoven and Wagemaker.

5 to 6 works by each of these artists will be on display, including the work Diagonalen by Schoonhoven, an impressive and important work shown at the São Paulo Biennal in 1967.

Other artists on display includeAd Dekkers, André Volten, Armando, Bram van Velde, Carel Visser, Daan van Golden, Ewerdt Hilgemann, François Morellet, George Rickey, Jan Henderikse, Kenneth Snelson and herman de vries.
